Description
This 15K gold WW1 “Fumsup” charm takes its name from the phrase “thumbs up” and was commonly worn on a button or pendant chain as a symbol of good luck, particularly during the First World War.
The head is crafted from carved wood, enabling the wearer to “touch wood” as part of the traditional ritual, while the gold body and delicate diamond-set eyes provide a subtle and elegant touch of colour to this historic charm.
This piece bears the patent number Rd 636612, registered in 1914, highlighting its historical significance and authenticity.
