Description
The ring is a fine example of Edwardian design, dating from the early 20th century, featuring delicate yet structured craftsmanship.
It has a central row of three square step-cut rubies, graduating in size from the centre, flanked on each side by an old mine-cut diamond.
Each stone is set in prongs, with the gallery beneath carefully scalloped to follow the contour of the gems, creating subtle movement and depth across the design.

Gemstone Grading
The stones are in very good condition with some minor age related wear. The rubies vary in colour, with the central ruby showing a cooler purple pink tone, while the two side stones have warmer red hues. All three display good clarity.
The two diamonds are mismatched in cut, with one European cut and one brilliant cut, suggesting a replacement at some stage. They also differ in clarity, with the brilliant cut diamond showing a more included appearance.
Unless stated otherwise, all gemstone grading is estimated and assessed in the mount.
Ruby Carat (Total) – 0.5ct
