Description
An 18ct gold Victorian mourning pendant featuring an oval black onyx panel, centred with a gold star outline set with seed pearls.
The gold edge is hand-engraved with the inscription: “H.F – Born 10th August 1796 – Died 6th December 1875.”
The reverse reveals a clear panel containing a lock of hair, a characteristic feature of Victorian mourning jewellery, designed to commemorate and preserve the memory of a loved one.
