This 9K gold antique locket necklace, made circa 1900-1910, is a lovely Edwardian-era piece.
The locket is 9ct back and front, meaning the front and back are crafted from 9ct gold, while the inner frames and hinges are metal.
It features intricate engravings of swallows and rose branches on both sides.
Swallows symbolise “everlasting love” and “loyalty,” as well as hope and positive change. The roses further emphasise themes of love and devotion.
The locket opens to reveal two compartments, ideal for holding photographs or small keepsakes.
